| It has been a terrific experience working with The Basic Companies to finish our basement. We did a lot of research and spoke with multiple contractors, and we are really glad we decided to go with them.
Don’t let the name fool you. While The Basic Companies provide high-quality baseline construction—covering everything from framing and drywall to outlets and lighting—they can easily go well beyond that to handle detailed custom work. They did a beautiful job on our custom coffee bar, accent wall, and flooring. Gail, our project coordinator, along with Bob and Mike, our project managers, were all great to work with. They were incredibly accommodating with our questions and requests, coordinating schedules and rearranging the workflow so we could seamlessly bring in our outside theater system contractor. The office handled everything from applying for permits to scheduling inspections, taking all the stress off our hands. The expertise of the entire crew also really stood out. They use true specialists for each phase, including the plumbers, electricians, painters, flooring installers, and carpenters, who were all skilled professionals. They were completely transparent and honest from start to finish, and offered fair and competitive pricing. They truly helped us build a vacation home within our home and made our dream basement come true. If you want a trustworthy team that delivers great results, we highly recommend them.
